PORT HARCOURT: Initiative for Transparent Strategy and Good Leadership, ITSGL, has alleged that the statement by Dr Chidi Lloyd, a strong loyalist of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, is only targeted at sparking a crisis in Brick House, between the Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara and the Secretary to the State Government, Dr Tammy Danagogo.

Lloyd, former Chairman of Emohua Local Government Area, had alleged that Danagogo had before the People’s Democratic Party’s primaries in 2022, petitioned Fubara to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC for investigation.

Lloyd, who was reacting to a speech by Danagogo that since he resumed working with the Governor of the state, Fubara, he has reduced his intake of High Blood Pressure drugs, accusing the SSG of earlier working against the governor and making unprintable remarks against Chief Wike.

However, in a quick response, the President General of ITSGL, Barr. Chizy Enyi, in a statement in Port Harcourt, said the allegation by Lloyd was false and only aimed at sparking a crisis in the state government house.

Enyi noted that before Danagogo served as Secretary to State Government under the administration of Chief Nyesom Wike, that he (Danagogo) has held many other positions of honor, adding that his stance that Fubara’s administration is giving him peace of mind is a fact.

Enyi insinuated that the statement by Danagogo did not in any way refer to Wike’s administration in the state, describing Lloyd’s assertions on linking Wike to the BP drugs as fallacious.

He said: “This statement is not just fallacious and mischievous but an attempt to enrich himself with contracts as the first person to talk down on the person of Chief Tammy Danagogo. Truth be told, Chidi Lloyd is ironically painting Wike black and making the public hate him by linking him to statements that were not referred to him.

“Before his appointment as the current Secretary to Rivers State Government, Tammy Wenike Danagogo has held the positions mentioned above, and how will his honest statement of truth, that working with Sim Fubara, who is humility personified, has reduced the intake of his BP drugs, be referred to Wike.

“Chidi Lloyd’s allegation of the petition by Chief Tammy Wenike Danagogo to EFCC against Sir Sim Fubara is just an attempt to cause disaffection, crisis, and unrosy relationship between the duo because Chief Tammy Wenike Danagogo surprised them and refused to resign from the cabinet like other pim pom Commissioners.

“What will be the benefit of the petition when Chief Danagogo did not come second during the PDP governorship primaries, which will make him the candidate if Fubara is disqualified based on the petition. Rivers people are wiser, and they can not toe Chidi Lloyd’s part that leads to perdition.”

He urged Lloyd to prove his claims by making public a copy of the said petition by Danagogo to EFCC against the governor, adding that people of the state are firm in their support for their governor.

“We are challenging Chidi Lloyd to make public the said petition and why is it now the subject of discussion and why he never raised an objection to the appointment of Chief Tammy Danagogo as Secretary to Rivers State Government based on the petition,” he added.
