Spotlight on Talentville Africa’s Loud Choir, a symphony of love, resilience

Spotlight on Talentville Africa’s Loud Choir, a symphony of love, resilience

By Ayo Onikoyi

Talentville Africa was founded by Ann Obaseki to democratize opportunity in an entertainment industry where only a select few seemed to shine.

By empowering non-mainstream artists, many of whom previously only found platforms within religious institutions, Talentville sought to make creative talent not just recognized, but a celebrated and sustainable career choice. It became a space where overlooked voices found amplification and where innovation thrived.

Among its most groundbreaking creations is the Loud Urban Choir, a 20-member powerhouse of talent that has grown into a tribe bound by music, resilience, and shared dreams. Initially introduced as “The Talentville Choir” at the Basketmouth Lords of the Ribs event in September 2019, the group was renamed the Loud Urban Choir a month later. This rebranding captured their unique blend of traditional choral harmonies with Afrobeats and

global sounds. Loud Urban Choir quickly became a cultural phenomenon and has since evolved into a

movement. Alongside other initiatives like The Drums of Africa and The Storytellers, Loud  Choir embodies the spirit of Talentville’s mission to innovate and inspire.

The Loud Choir is led by the visionary and award-winning producer, writer, and music director Mr. Soul, who recently signed with Sony Publishing. A creative force behind Loud’s music, Soul is also the creator of BandHitz. His portfolio includes viral hits like the breathtaking rendition of “Best Part” and the chorales for Davido’s iconic BET performance.

Through his artistry, Loud delivers performances that resonate deeply, leaving audiences captivated and inspired.

Recently, there has been some confusion surrounding the identity of Loud, with another group adopting a similar name and branding. While this is being addressed legally, the incident underscores the remarkable milestones and growing recognition of Loud’s impact.

Talentville Africa takes pride in having built an aspirational brand and welcomes creative growth in the industry. However, Loud remains a registered trademark of Talentville, a symbol of authenticity, innovation, and legacy that cannot be replicated.

Talentville extends heartfelt gratitude this Christmas to its incredible partners from diverse industries, including NLNG, Total, RMB, Access Bank, Nestlé, Fidelity Bank, Diageo, Coca-Cola, Flytime, Marriott, Atafo, and many more.

Their unwavering support has empowered artists and fueled a legacy of creativity.
