Esther Obikoya, a prominent figure in the renewable energy sector, has been recognized for her exceptional contributions to advancing renewable energy projects and energy efficiency initiatives in Nigeria.

With over five years of experience in the field, Obikoya has significantly impacted the industry through her innovative strategies and dedication to sustainable energy solutions.

Her journey in the renewable energy sector began in Nigeria, where she managed significant projects at Starsight Energy Limited and Stratagem Energy Management Company. At Stratagem, she led contract negotiations, collaborating with international stakeholders, including the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and Huawei Technologies, for a 2 MW solar energy project.

Obikoya’s contributions extend beyond project execution. As a volunteer Nigerian Program Facilitator for the Association of Energy Engineers, she managed over 500 prospects for globally recognized training programs, coordinated technical meetings, and represented Nigeria at international energy conferences.

Her work has not gone unnoticed. She has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Outstanding Energy Project Management award at Stratagem Energy. “Your innovative approach to stakeholder engagement and project execution has brought substantial financial benefits and increased our company’s visibility in the international energy sector,” stated Ayodeji Dada, CEO of Stratagem Energy Management Limited.

Additionally, she has received scholarships from Renewable Energy Academy and Ashdam Solar for Women in Solar Energy. Obikoya’s work in developing renewable energy and energy efficiency strategies and her dedication to sustainable energy practices have positioned her as a leading expert in the field. Her efforts continue to bridge the energy distribution gap in underserved areas, contributing significantly to the global fight against climate change.
