The Super Eagles of Nigeria are down by one goal to nil against South Africa at halftime in the 2026 World Cup qualifier match in Uyo.

South Africa took the lead in the 29th minute through Themba Zwane who dazzled past the Nigerian defence to send the ball beyond the reach of Stanley Nwabali in goal for the Super Eagles.

All efforts from the Nigerian side to level the scoreline before halftime went futile as the Bafana Bafana held on to their slim goal lead.
