Umanu Elijah gives back to society, launches computer literacy programme in Auchi

Popular film maker Umanu Ochuwa Elijah has given back to society through his advocacy group, The Umanu Development Initiative,(TUDI Africa), as he recently launched a computer literacy programme in Auchi, Edo State.

The programme, which commenced on Friday, April 12, at Etsako federal constituency Headquater,

brought together over 120 participants from across the Etsako Federal Constituency who gathered at Ekhei Girls Grammar School, Auchi, to be part of the laudable programme.

The participants benefited from the wealth of experience of facilitators in the IT/ICT field and he also gave out several laptops to some trainees.

According to Umanu elijah , convener of TUDI Africa, the programme aims to equip Etsako indigenes with the necessary skills to thrive in today’s digital space and contribute positively to development of their community.

Interestingly, the empowerment programme which rounded off during the week, offered training in various areas, including basic computer knowledge, website design, coding, graphic design, tech skills, and video editing, with plans to expand into more advanced areas of ICT.

At the end of the programme, laptops and startup kits were presented to the participants.

Speaking on the programme, participants expressed their gratitude to Umanu and TUDI Africa following the impactful initiative.”
