Paramount ruler of Ugbo kingdom, His Royal Highness Frederick Obateru Akinruntan has congratulated Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on his emergence as the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Ondo State.

Gov. Aiyedatiwa, who was declared the winner of last Saturday governorship primaries under the chairmanship of Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State, polled highest number of votes of 48, 569, amongst other APC aspirants.

In a statement by Prince Ademibo Akingboye, Chief Press Secretary of the monarch, HRH Akinruntan described the victory of Gov. Aiyedatiwa “As a destined victory,” and solicited for “continuous collaboration between state government and traditional institutions to enthrone peace and security within the state.”

Oba Akinruntan commended other aspirants of the APC and particularly for their sportsmanship and implored them to support Gov. Aiyedatiwa’s gubernatorial bid, while also hailing the Ganduje-led national leadership of the APCs through the chairman of the election committee, Gov. Usman Ododo, for the peaceful and violence-free primary.
