Almost two decades ago, just as Afrobeats was beginning to peak, a starlet, Justina Ogunlolu had broken out unto the heavily male-dominated music scene with the alluring single, “Omo 2 Sexy”.

Following the success of her hit single, Ogunlolu, then known as, “Justina”, had instantly stood out, gaining the attention of the industry at large.

Now 18 years and two studio albums later, Ogunlolu, now domiciled in Europe has morphed into an Afro Funky, Jazz, Blues and Soul singer, leaving behind the label of an emerging Afrobeats diva. Now known as Justina Lee Brown– a name that has graced several auditoriums, amphitheatres and stages in Europe, this had been a long time coming as she’d always nurtured a deep love for the Blues and the genres mentioned above, going as far as to make songs in that line.

Presently, she has put out two albums, ‘Black and White Feeling’ released in 2019, as well as ‘Lost Child’ in 2023. Her latest album, ‘Lost Child’, which she describes as “the album to prepare her for the future”, is a blend of several genres: blues, funk, soul, rock, jazz, pop, reggae, and afrobeats.

According to her, “it’s a reflection of who she is, her truth, as a free and expressive entertainer who is not confined by any one genre or label.” She continues to push boundaries and experiment with her music, captivating audiences worldwide with her unique sound and powerful performances on a global level.

Ever since the release of her latest album ‘The Lost Child’, in September 2023, Justina Lee Brown has been on tour. Having performed in over 30 concerts across several cities in Europe, the singer is already booked for no less than 60 concerts till the end of 2024, including in France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, Latvia, and a host of others.

With a capable band beside her, and Europe music lovers and show organisers lapping up every vocable from the energetic maverick, Justina Lee Brown shows no signs of stopping and is well on her way to conquer Europe and beyond.
