Emmanuella Isioma Ifechukwude Iloba known simply as Emmanuella Iloba is not the vociferous type but she’s passionate enough about her passions that she would go to any length to fulfill them, though without going over the edge.

In an interview with Potpourri, the rising star of Nollywood opens the gate of her heart, to let out her triumphs, fears, challenges,

tough times, good times and more in the course of her growth in the movie industry. She’s the 4th child in a family of five, a UNILAG graduate of Theater Arts from Delta State.

Emmanuella has featured in a countless number of films, which includes, Still the one , The Beautiful Spy of Bahamas Kingdom, Rhythm & Love, Stranger in our Lives, Ena Paradise , White lies and a host.

Of all careers in the world, why did you choose acting?

I chose acting because it allows me to express myself creatively and bring stories to life. It’s a way for me to connect with others and evoke emotions. Plus, I love the thrill of stepping into different characters and exploring new worlds.

What sacrifices have you made in your quest to be an actress?

Being an actress requires making some tough choices and giving up certain things. It’s all about putting in the time and effort, even if it means sacrificing other activities or financial stability. But for me, the passion for acting and the joy of bringing stories to life make it all worthwhile.

What are your unforgettable memories as a woman and an actress?

There are so many amazing moments that actresses hold very dear to them. One of them is performing in a role that leaves a lasting impact, receiving recognition for our talent and being part of a production with an incredible cast.

As a woman, it’s those empowering moments that really stand out for me. Making a difference by helping others in need and empowering the less privileged is so important to me. Also, being a listening ear for those who need moral support can truly make a difference in their lives

Which character do you love to interpret and which do you dread?

I dread none. I absolutely love the opportunity to bring complex and layered characters to life! It’s so thrilling to receive a new script and dive into the next adventure. Each role is like a new puzzle to solve and I can’t wait to see what’s in store. It’s such a rewarding experience for me as an actress!

What fantasies did you harbour while growing in the industry?

My dream of working with Talented great actors and directors. Also playing iconic roles and being part of groundbreaking projects that will make a significant impact with my craft

What’s your take on women flaunting their sexuality on social media?

Well, everyone has their own perspective on this topic, and it’s important to respect different opinions. Some people believe that women should have the freedom to express their sexuality however they choose, including on social media. They see it as a form of empowerment and self-expression. Others may have different views and feel that it’s important to maintain certain boundaries. Ultimately, it’s up to each individual to decide how they want to present themselves online. What matters most is that people feel comfortable and confident in their choices.

What attracts you to the opposite sex and have you ever made the first move to start a relationship?

when it comes to attraction, I think different people are drawn to different qualities in the opposite sex. For me, a great sense of humor, intelligence, and kindness are definitely attractive qualities. As for making the first move, no I haven’t done that. But I believe that anyone can take the initiative in starting a relationship. It’s all about being confident and expressing your interest in a respectful way. So, if you’re interested in someone, don’t be afraid to make the first move and see where it takes you! Good luck!

Love or money: which works for you and why?

Hmm! This is an interesting question! For me, love and money are both important in their own ways. When it comes to the choice between love and money, it can be a tough decision. Love brings joy, connection, and emotional fulfillment, while money provides security and the ability to live comfortably. Ultimately, it’s about finding a balance that works for you and aligns with your values and goals. It’s important to prioritize what truly brings you happiness and fulfillment in life.

At what point would you end a relationship?

I think every relationship is unique, and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to when it’s time to end a relationship. However, some common reasons might include me ending my relationship. They are as follows; a lack of trust, compatibility issues, or if the relationship becomes unhealthy or toxic. It’s important to listen to your gut and prioritize your own well-being and happiness. Communication is key, so if you’re feeling unsure or unhappy, it’s important to have an open and honest conversation with your partner. Ultimately, you deserve to be in a relationship that brings you joy and fulfillment.
