MTN sponsorship deal not yet official – Aindigh

Nigerian Premier League Congressman, Samuel Aindigh has revealed that the congress has not ratified the sponsorship deal of total promotion signed by the NPL making it official.

Speaking to Inside Out Premier League from his base in Makurdi, Aindigh said he only saw the news on the pages of newspapers.

“They have not officially informed us (congress) that they have gotten a sponsor for the league. All we have been seeing are stories on the pages of newspapers, so let the congress come, and we will know how authentic the deal is,” Aindigh said.

“On the cry by some clubs that the date of the new season is not feasible given the fact that most of the clubs are government owned, the General Manager of Lobi Stars said that “those complaining must understand that the games will not be everyday but just weekends, so they should be able to adjust because they do not need the whole budget to start the league,” Aindigh added
