The ongoing Maltina Dance Gig (MDG), a pan-Nigeria musical roadshow by Maltina, a malt drink from the Nigerian Breweries (NB) Plc titled ‘Show Your Swag’ has earned the company a special commendation from youth in Nsukka, the university town of Enugu.

The youth who trooped out in their hundreds to participate in the show, said that initiative has given many of the budding talents that abound across the town the opportunity to express themselves and showcase their talents.

Harrison Ekere, a 17-year old student of University Secondary School, Nsukka who emerged winner from the male category in, expressed elation at the opportunity of competing in the show.

“It is indeed a great opportunity for me to participate in this show and I want to really thank the Nigerian Breweries Plc for putting this musical show together through Maltina” he said.

Ekere, who is a member of a group known as the De Star called on other multinational companies to emulate the kind gesture of NB Plc in bringing out and rewarding teeming Nigerian youth who want to showcase their talents but had no platform to do that.

He went home with a 10 KVA Generator set for his effort and said “I dedicate my victory today to all my fans who trooped out to cheer me to victory. I believe that it is God that has made it possible and I know that this is the beginning of good things to come my way”.
