LAGOS-The House of Representatives Committee on Aviation yesterday said that it would assist the Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB, to improve on its accident investigation in the country.

Speaking to aviation correspondents during an interactive session at the AIB’s Headquarters at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos, Chairman of the House of Representative Committee on Aviation, Mrs. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha affirmed that the committee would ensure that there was appropriate investigation of air mishap by the agency.

She noted that the house would give its full support to the agency in the course of carrying out its operations adding that the bureau should do more in the area of man power training and development.

She said: “Instead of waiting for accident to occur, you should keep doing what you are doing and the house is happy that your bureau is in partnership with the Nigeria Meteorological Agency.”
