BENIN – Unknown gun men, early hours of Wednesday, shot and killed a man and his daughter at their residence located in Aviomon Crescent in Oko Central, Benin.
The victims identified as Richard Aviomon, 60 and his daughter Kemi Aviomon, 17, were said to have been killed at about 4 am on the fateful day .The assailants were alleged to have ransacked the house but did not remove anything.
Vanguard gathered that the late Richard Aviomon had only recently retired from the Agricultural Development programme (ADP) where he served as a programmes manager before he met his untimely death.
Edo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. David Omojala who confirmed the incident said men of the homicide detectives have begun investigations into the circumstances surrounding the killings.
He also confirmed that nothing was removed from the victims’ residence by the suspected assailants.
No arrests has been made.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the Central Hospital mortuary in Benin City.
