I’m PDP’s winning ticket, says Ihonvbere

By Gabriel Enogholase

BENIN-FORMER Special Adviser to ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo on Projects Monitoring, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, Wednesday, denied rumours that he had withdrawn from the state governorship race on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Prof. Ihonvbere is one of the seven PDP governorship aspirants, jostling to fly the party’s flag in the July 14, 2012 governorship election in Edo State.

However, Prof. Ihonvbere in an interview with Vanguard in Benin, said: “Some people are saying that I had left the governorship race. That is not true. I have been working in the party for years, through our elections, raising funds, chairing reconciliation and re-building the party.

“I believe that I am the wining ticket for PDP and this can only happen with your support.”
