B. QUALIFICATIONS

 (i)     Professor     

Candidates should possess a Ph.D degree (or a Fellowship of either the National or West African College) in the appropriate discipline applied for, with at least ten (10) years teaching and research experience in a University, and at least two (2) years as an Associate Professor. Candidates must possess scholarly publications in both local and international journals as proof of specialization in core areas of departmental fields of study. Candidates must also have sufficient administrative experience.

(ii)       Associate Professor

As in (i) above, but with eight (8) years teaching and research experience in a University, and at least two (2) years as a Senior Lecturer. Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.

 (iii)    Senior Lecturer

As in (i) above, but with five (5) years teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two (2) years as a Lecturer I. Candidate must also have sufficient administrative experience.

(iv)      Lecturer I

As in (i) above, but with three (3) years teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two (2) years as a Lecturer II. A fellowship of the relevant professional body would normally be accepted for appointment in the College of Medical Sciences

(V)      Lecturer II

As in (i) above, but with three (3) years teaching and research experience in a University, with at least two (2) years as an Assistant Lecturer.

(v)       Assistant Lecturer

Candidate should possess an M.Sc. Degree in the field of application with proof of completion of National Youth Service or its equivalent and proof of registration into a Ph.D programme.

Computer literacy and ability to teach using Multimedia technology is mandatory.

C.         SALARIES AND ALLOWANCES:

Salaries and allowances are as obtainable in Nigerian Public Universities.

D.        CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

As contained in the approved conditions governing the service of Senior Staff in Nigerian Universities.
