…They are afraid we will beat them again…PDP reacts

The Campaign Council of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Katsina State have alleged that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have hired thugs from Kano and Zamfara State to mar the gubernatorial and state assembly elections slated for March 11, 2023.

The Director General of the APC Campaign council, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa disclosed this at a press conference, calling on security agencies, INEC and the general populace to take note of the alleged evil plot.

Dangiwa said:

“This is privileged and confidential information and I am very sure that the security agencies have it by now but it’s good for the entire populace to know also. That is why we have invited you here.

“Having realised that they are going to lose the governorship and house of assembly elections in Katsina State, the Peoples Democratic Party have resolved to disrupt the process by bringing in thugs from Zamfara and Kano to foment trouble during the election.”

“APC is sure of victory as long as the May 11 elections are conducted free and fair.
We are not afraid of any of the contestants. As you are aware, during the presidential and National Assembly elections, we won all three senatorial seats in the state and nine out of the 15 House of Representatives seats in the state. Even the remaining six, we are confident that we will claim them through the court in due time.”

Reacting to the allegation,
the Director of General Media of the PDP Campaign Council, Alhaji Kabir Yar’adua said:

“The APC is not being sincere. They are the government. They have the commissioner of police, they have everything but they are still afraid.

“Come to think of it, we don’t have the resources to waste on such. They know they can’t win against us that is why they are making such a claim. We proved this during the presidential election and we are ready to beat them again on March 11.

“Despite the N11 billion they removed from the government treasury for the presidential election, we defeated them and we will defeat them again in the governorship election by the grace of God.

We are not bringing in any thug from anywhere. Our thugs are pure ballot papers. That is what we used before and that’s what we will use again to to defeat them in the March 11 elections.”
