DESOPADEC: Otuaro’s appointment lauded

UGHELLI—CHAIRMAN of Ijaw Host Communities of Nigeria Oil and Gas, HOS-TCON, Chief James Orubu, has hailed the appointment of Mr. Kingsley Otuaro as Commissioner representing the Ijaw ethnic nationality on the Board of Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, DESOPADEC.

Orubu in a statement, weekend, thanked Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan for the appointment.

He said the appointment of Otuaro was “putting a round peg in a round hole and the result will be efficient performance and productive output.

“Ijaw HOSTCON, which comprises Ogula-gha, Gbaramatu, Egbe-ma, Ogbe-Ijoh, Diebiri, Iduwini, Kou, Igbilebri, Igran among others, was happy with the appointment of  Otuaro into the Board of DESOPADEC.”

“His appointment will reduce the seeming problems of marginalization and deprivation of the oil bearing coastal communities as he remain a capable hand anointed for the job.

“The commendation that trails his appointment is undoubtedly an indication of his acceptance by the people of Ijaw ethnic nationality, who had long re-affirmed their confidence in his leadership competence and capability to solve the problems of the area,” he added.
