Lagos – A 22-year-old undergraduate, Bamidele Ogunfowora was on Monday arraigned before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos for allegedly stabbing a man to death.
The prosecutor, Supt. Innocent Effiong, said that the accused on Oct. 2 stabbed one Hassan Adesina with a knife all over his body, following a misunderstanding.
He said that Adesina died as a result of the injuries he sustained from the stabbing.
He said the alleged killing, which occurred at No. 13 Shobaloju St., Epe, Lagos, contravened Section 319 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Lagos State, 2003.
Chief Magistrate Adesola Ikpatt, who did not take Ogunfowora’s plea, ordered that the accused be remanded in Ikoyi Prison, pending advice from the state Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) and adjourned the case till Nov. 18. (NAN)
