MTN N1bn reward holds in Ibadan Oct 13

The 2nd prize presentation in the on-going N1 billion reward scheme embarked upon by telecommunications company, MTN Nigeria, will hold in the ancient city of Ibadan on Thursday, 13th October, 2011.

During the event, 10 lucky customers will smile home with N10 million each while 100 winning customers will be presented with N100, 000 each. Consolation prizes will also be given to customers at the prize presentation.

Already, the first set of 10 new millionaires were rewarded at the first draw held on September 20 at the Golden Plaza head office of MTN. They include Oladapo Simeon, an undergraduate of the University of Lagos; Gift Azubuike, a hairdresser and Latifa Ogbeifun, a Computer Science graduate.

Speaking at the first presentation, Mr. Bola Akingbade, Chief Marketing and Strategy Officer, MTN, thanked Nigerians, especially MTN subscribers for their unflinching loyalty to the MTN Brand over the past one decade.

This One Billion Naira Reward program is a living testimonial to MTN’s loyalty to its customers and critical stakeholders, including Government and the regulatory bodies”.

The event was presided over by Mr. Okechukwu Aninweke, zonal co-coordinator of the NCC(Lagos), who testified, ‘We have had ten years of GSM in Nigeria and many reward programmes have come and gone  but this is the first time I am hearing of a one billion naira give away … It is indeed impressive.’

To qualify for the draws, subscribers are encouraged to register their MTN SIMs with either MTN or NCC, migrate to any of the new packages (Funlink Reloaded, Supersaver, Family & Friends Expanded), then recharge your card with any amount.

While the reward scheme lasts, 10 people will win N10 million every 10 days; 900 people will win N100, 000 each, plus N10 million worth of instant cash prizes. The presentation train will be going around the nation with stops in 8 major cities.
