THE drive for a sustainable change and the expected gains recorded at each interval in the education sector in the recent past have remained transient and still mired in turmoil in spite of the good intentions of the previous administrations both for the sustenance and bringing the education sector to an acceptable level in the recent past.
The present administration of President Goodluck Jonathan’s intervention in one of the very critical sectors of our national life, i.e. education, is indeed significant as the Federal Government of Nigeria is now poised and determined, more than ever before, to transform education to a more stable and an enviable height, since education remains a serious public opinion issue.
The appointment of the present Minister of State for Education, Barrister Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike, truly emphasises the determination and the positive direction the President intends to move education for the immense benefit of the Nigerian masses.
The Minister of State for Education appears set to faithfully offer a constructive/holistic direction plan for education implementation as he settles down to help midwife and breathe life back to the education sector in the country,
He is actively re-energizing the Ministry of Education system with his very profound new vision of hope and direction, for the mass of the people.
One cannot but extol the foresightedness of the President for identifying an immensely good and dependable personality as the Minister of State for Education at this point in time of our development.
