ABUJA – Worried by the escalating cases of medical establishments rejecting road traffic accident victims across the country, the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has concluded plans to collaborate with the NICON Insurance PLC, to develop a comprehensive policy for payment of medical bills of victims.
Corps Marshall and Chief Executive, FRSC, Mr. Osita Chidoka, who disclosed this while receiving members of the Nigerian Medical Association who paid him a visit, regretted that a situation where hospitals refused to attend to road crash victims was a very emotional one and unacceptable.
Chidoka, who also promised to include the leadership of the NMA in the arrangement, noted that no matter the situation, health workers should provide minimum assistance to accident victims.
