Enugu Rangers are optimistic that they will defeat Akokana of Niger Republic in their WAFU Cup first round game which takes place in the border town of Arlit in Niger today.
Last week, the team were trapped in their base in Enugu for 24 hours due to financial hiccups ahead of the trip to Niger Republic but later got rescued by the Enugu State Governor Suillivan Chime.
The club’s spokesman, Foster Chime to told Sunday Vanguard Sports that the team almost got frustrated when the money was not forthcoming.
