Nigerian Breweries holds concert at Igarra-Aba Festival

Nigerian Breweries Plc, makers of the Nigeria’s Premium Lager beer, Star, recently organized a concert to mark the Aba Festival celebrated by Igarra indigenes of Edo State.

The concert featured performances by the ace Fuji star, Obesere and the K C Klime band.

The internationally acclaimed Festival, which is held once every six years, is adjudged the sixth most important indigenous festival in the whole of West Africa. More than 10,000 people including visitors turned up for this year’s edition, most of whom were also present during the Star Concert.

According to Onyeka Okoli, Export Development Manager, Nigerian Breweries Plc., “we recognize the importance of the Aba Festival to sons and daughters of Igarraland so we decided to use it as a platform for us to connect with the community.

‘’We wanted to do something that had never been done before so we decided to tie the concert to the festival in order to create a unique atmosphere of fun for the people. It was also an opportunity for the ind igenes and invited friends to be exposed to chilled NB brands as they enjoy quality entertainment,” he added.

Okoli further said the con cert was also a medium for Star t o reward its loyal customers. ‘We also felt that it was impor tant for us to say thank you to our loyal customers in Igarraland. That was why we gave away prizes like bags of rice, a motorcycle, a live cow amongst others,” he said.
