THE candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Delta State House of Assembly, Patani Constituency, Mr Raymos Guanah, has vowed to show commitment and capacity to meet the needs and yearnings of the Patani people when elected.

Guanah spoke when he unveiled the composition of his campaign organisation to members of the LGA chapter of the party.

The House of Assembly candidate said the Local Government Area has been bedeviled by lots of underdevelopment, which was as a result of lack of willpower, zeal and courage on the part of its representatives over the years, to develop the council.

Guanah described Patanians as peace and loving people that have continued to pour in their massive support for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, over the years with nothing to show for it rather than underdevelopment of the LGA and massive looting of her commonwealth that is supposed to be utilised for the development of the area.

He said: “If we mean well for our dear Local Government Area and our people, let us all join hands to pull out of this injurious arrangement where the benefits of the entire Local Government Area is being sacrificed for the benefit of a few. I have offered myself and committed to do all legal biddings of my constituents to build a Greater Patani.

“It was time to crave for a new Patani where road networks across the LGA won’t be negotiated.

“A new Patani where our decaying educational facilities will be visited and given a facelift. A new Patani where our health centers will have enough manpower and sufficient medication for our people in the semi-urban and rural areas.

“A new Patani where schemes to carter for the welfare and wellbeing of all age grades will be guaranteed.

A new Patani where our farmers, traders and artisan will be given the needed support at all time.”

Those present at the unveiling ceremony were Rev. Israel Unutame; Chief Helpme Enisouh; Engr. Otuisi Erube; Engr. John Agori; Mr. Vincent Oborikpo, among others.

They, however, commended the leadership abilities of Mr. Guanah, stating that he brought development to every part of the council area when he was council chairman as his projects are still verifiable across the length and breadth of Patani LGA.
