Oba of Ikorodu calls for sound education

The Oba of Ikorodu HRM Oba Afolabi Oyefusi, CON, has called on schools authorities to give the children a sound educational background, to enable an extensive improvement in Nigeria’s socio economic and political life.

He made this call at the presentation of gold achievement award and activity marking 80th birthday and 40th coronation anniversary during the valedictory service /prize giving of Tindip schools Ikorodu Lagos.

Oba Oyefusi also said that the school builds majority of the characteristics, attributes of the individual so the students need to be well educated to make them better citizens.

On the production of well educated citizens, the proprietress, Mrs. Olayinka Arigbede stressed that the students should keep the flag flying until success is achieved.

“Today we sit here with Tindip nursery and primary school graduating class of 2011 academic year, group of determined and devoted pupils ready to encounter another new world with many new faces.

As we look around we do not see the little girls but rather we see energetic brilliant young people. They are all because here because they have a reason to dress in the spirit of celebration as a class.”

“Amidst the experience of their school life years there have been teachers all of whom have contributed to their success.

There are those who have prompted them forward and have been a special inspiration. Whatever the experience might be they could have never gotten here today without the help and support of their families, their peers and other support staff around ho really made a difference.” she said.
