Spain based Nigerian U-23 striker, Otubanjo Olaitan has said that he wants the Nigerian Premier League to be like that of Europe.

Speaking to Inside Out Premier League from his base in Madrid, the left footed striker tasked the league board not to relent in their efforts to make the league what it ought to be.

“Our league is improving now in terms of pitches and that of officiating, but I think we still lack some aspect, but I think with time they will fix it and make it more comfortable.

“I want the Nigerian league to be as good as those of European countries. Not all the clubs in Nigeria league can compete favourably. I want the best for my country and also for everyone in it,” he said.

On how best he thinks the league should be managed in order for foreign based players to end their career on home soil, he said, “Well that has to do with the board of the league. They know what to do. I know they are trying but they should not relent,” he added.
