DELTA State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, said, yesterday, while swearing-in 22 Commissioners, that he is focused on fast-tracking the overall development of the state and will not allow himself to be distracted.
The commissioners are: Prof. Patrick Muoboghare, Chief Paulinus Akpeki, Mr. Benard Okumagba, Dr. Joseph Otumara, Dr. Anthonia Ashiedu, Mr. Frank Omare, Prof. Hope Eghagha, Mrs. Orezi Esievo, Mr. Tony Nwaka, Mr. Richard Mofe-Damijo and Mr. Solomon Funkekeme.
Others are: Mr. Charles Ajuyah, SAN, Mr. Chike Ogeah, Mr. Benard Igbakpa, Mrs. Betty Efekhoda, Mrs Gloria Okolugbo, Mr. Kingsley Emu, Misan Kubeyinje, Ebifa Ijeoma, Patrick Ferife, Neworld Safugha and Dr. Chris Oghenechevwen.
He told the newly sworn-in Commissioners, that he will not hesitate to sack any of them who was not ready to work with with him.
He said: “Although we have four years, but like I keep reminding us, four years is tomorrow and we are fast-tracking all we have to do in the next four years. We must fast-track all our developmental plans on infrastructure, human capital, peace and security. I want to assure all Deltans that we are moving at a very fast pace.
“We do know that there are distractions and that there are people who want to distract us. We do know there are people who execute distractions, but I want to assure Deltans that I will not be distracted.”
