Star trek may have come and gone but the heart stopping music performances that leapt from the various stages across the country at the command of Nigeria’s finest artistes who rock and rule the country’s entertainment scene will not be forgotten in a hurry.

Nigeria breweries who are the annual organisers of star trek; a show event that takes selected Nigerian music artiste on a tour of ten states of the federation where they bring down undiluted music and electrifying stage performances to music lovers who thronged the event venues to behold their music idols perform live on stage.

This year, the key acts included P-Square, Naeto C, Banky W, D’banj, Faze, Ruggedman, 9ice, M.I, Timaya, Wande Cole, Obesere and scores of others. Their performances torched Abuja Auchi, Asaba, Nnewi, Enugu, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Aba, Lagos and Ondo, with Abuja and Ondo taking the first and final performances respectively.

In Ondo, a mammoth crowd had gathered at the Motel Ondo Plaza as early as 7 pm for a show that was billed to commence at 10 pm. Fans defied the coldness of the night to honour their music idols.
