The ex-British boxing champion, Peter Oboh, has congratulated Chief Rahman Owokoniran, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, South-West region General Secretary, on his birthday.
The former Commonwealth champion, who is now a cleric, described Owokoniran’s new age as “a fantastic birthday”.
According to Oboh, “To be realistic, Mr. Owokoniran is not just celebrating a birthday, but a birthday of fantastic achievements too.
“We must remember that Chief Rahman Owokoniran was one-time member of Lagos State House of Assembly (1983), former Commissioner for Housing (2003) and Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Boundary Affairs (2006).
“Now, he is the current secretary of People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
“And in all these positions he is known for his concern for service and the people’s welfare. That is true success.”
Oboh, the Founder of of Jesus Loves You Ministry, added that “one thing I want many to know is not to just see a man’s achievements and admire it, but find out the secret of his achievements.
“One thing I have learned about Mr. Owokoniran is that although he is a boss to many, he is still a servant. Such quality is very rear these days.
“An adage says ‘a close mouth is a close destiny’. We must learn to appreciate our own especially when they are unique in manners and in character like Owokoniran.”
Addressing the celebrant, Oboh said: “Mr. Owokoniran, there are many testimonies of your humble personality.
“This is one of the secrets of the success of most Oduduwa descendants, and you are one of them.
“I wish you many more years in service, success and prosperity,” Oboh prayed.
