FCMB millionaire promo to encourage savings – Malik

As part of its efforts to encourage saving culture in the country, First City Monument Bank (FCMB) Plc has rolled out a promo tagged “millionaire savings certificate”.

Speaking at the launch of the promo on Monday in Lagos, FCMB’s Executive Director, Retail Banking, Mr. Nabeel Malik explained that the promo was meant to encourage savings and reward the bank’s customers for their support and loyalty.

According to him, “The FCMB millionaire savings certificate is a simple, risk – free savings opportunity with the potential of making savers millionaires thropugh electronic draws to be held every month. In addition, the savings certificate is a promo and product which has the facility of savings interest rates on funds saved so that savers will always get reward for saving in the FCMB millionaire savings certificate.”

He further noted that the millionaire savings certificate attracts one per cent interest rate and holders have opportunity to exit when they desire.

He called on both prospective and existing customers to take advantage of the unique promo which has no fixed termination date, nothing that certificate holders have opportunity to become millionaire and/ win consolation prizes.

Malik stressed that the promo will be transparent as representatives of regulatory authorities, newsmen, and other observers will be in attendance to witness the selection process which will be done electronically.

Commenting on the modality of the promo, Vice President and Group Head of Consumer Banking, FCMB Plc, Felicia Obozuwa said, “All that is needed by customers and any other person wishing to participate in the promo is to save N10, 000 to qualify for the draw that will enable them win consolation prizes while subsequent multiples of 10,000 will qualify any person for the millionaire prizes.”

Continuing, she said, “The promotion gets more exciting after the first month because certificates are carried over every month to subsequent draws and can be en-cashed for their full value any time at the saver’s convenience.
