He added that though concrete engraving is not an overlay, it beautifies and disguises the ugly, discoloured, cracked or repaired concrete of any age or condition. He pointed out that concrete engraving is unique and economical for property improvement, while the process is fast, clean and leaves the surroundings undisturbed.

Olaofe who noted that the engraved pattern is guaranteed to last the life of the concrete, said concrete engraving has numerous advantages over other forms of overlays. He stated that some of the advantages include that the design is in the concrete and not on it. “Concrete engraving beautifies and hides ugly, discoloured and stained concrete; it disguises and hides cracks and repairs in the concrete. It can accommodate various designs such as logos and patterns as well as customised designs depending on what one wants,” Olaofe said.

Other advantages include an excellent colour selection that is applicable to new or existing concrete surfaces. It provides low maintenance home improvement and enables oil drippings and other stains to be easily cleaned off the interior or exterior surface.

Mr. Olaofe further disclosed that concrete engraving resists surface scratches, chipping and shoe marks. According to him, weeds cannot grow between the patterns and designs in exterior surface. He noted that concrete engraving is a profitable investment which adds distinctive value and beauty to homes and businesses. It does not add thickness to create problems of altering drainage system and will prevent overhead doors or other doors from closing properly.
