The management of Wakanow, Nigeria’s largest online travel porta, is set to introduce a credit card in conjunction with United Bank for Africa (UBA) that will ease business transaction for business and leisure travelers.

The Deputy Managing Director of Wakanow, Mr. Raph Tamunor, who disclosed this in a chat with journalists, said that the agency had signed a bill with the United Bank for Africa (UBA) to produce the credit card which would be out next month.

He stressed that the card would greatly facilitate air travel as well as meet the demands of millions of Nigerians who wants to travel by air.

“Nigeria has about twelve millions travellers, nine million travel on domestic route within the country while three million travel internationally, so we feel that with the above figure and that is why we designed a credit card to make travel faster “he said.

Also speaking at the event, the Managing Director of Wakanow.Com, Mr. Obinna Ekezie, said that travelling was a very difficult experience to most passengers and that the company is out to make air travelling stress free and memorable trip both within and outside the country.

According to him, “We at wakanow travel knows the difficulty in air travel. We have put measures in place to make travel easy for our customers right from the booking of their flights, the booking of their hotel as well as offering airport transportation when they arrive at their various destination”.

Mr. Ekezie stressed that the agency was working in partnership with forty_five thousand hotels around the world.

“We are working in partnership with about forty-five thousand hotels around the world. We have built a strong link between us and the hotels as well as airport transportation in our various countries of travel “he added.

Enumerating the various packages the agency was offering at the Easter season to include shopping festival, Excursion and Get_a_way, Pilgrim package, Card product and Romance product, Wakanow MD affirmed that the packages were designed to satisfy the yearnings of Nigerians and other foreign travellers.
