The Democratic People’s Party, DPP, senatorial candidate for the Delta Central Senatorial District, Chief Akpor Ewherido, has urged the party supporters and all Deltans to remain vigilant and not despondent over the postponed April 2, 2011, National Assembly election.
He made the call while addressing newsmen and party supporters at his home town, Ewu, Delta State.
He expressed shock over Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC’s shoddy outing after the commission’s Chairman, Prof. Atahiru Jega, had informed the country a few days earlier, that INEC was ready for the poll.
