FG signs N2.6bn contract to construct Adada River dam in Enugu

ENUGU – The Federal Government has signed a N2.6billion contract for the construction of Adada River dam in Enugu State.

The dam is to be constructed by Roudo Nigeria Limited, an indigenous company.

Chief Obadiah Ando, Minister of Water Resources, who signed the contract on behalf of the Federal Government, explained that the Ministry had to wait for the Federal Executive Council’s approval and mobilization of fund to enable work commence.

He, therefore, implored the contractor to expedite work on the dam and deliver high quality service.
Mr. Sam Erouh, Managing Director, Roudo Nigeria Limited, promised to mobilize his workers to site and commence work immediately.

The Adada River Dam is a homogenous earth dam of 347.565 metres in length, height of 18 metres and a total reservoir volume of 2.978 million cubic metres of water.
