Inyama petitions NFF president over anulled election

The Chairman of the Nigeria National League, Chief Emeka Inyama has petitioned the President and Board Members of the Nigeria Football Federation to as a matter of urgency intervene in the verdict of the NFF Electoral Appeal Committee which purportedly annulled elections into the Chairmanship positions of the NNL, Amateur and Women League.

Chief Emeka Inyama made the call in his reaction as he rejected the ruling of the Appeal Committee which nullified the January 29th League Board Election which brought him into office as the Chairman of NNL.

While calling for the setting up of an Arbitration Tribunal to review the verdict to avert further needless crisis, the NNL Chairman described the verdict as a clear show of unfairness, injustice, and totally unacceptable as it violates the Article 17 of the Election Guideline which says “All appeal must be heard and concluded within seven7 days of the filing of the Appeal”, and Article 12 of the NFF Electoral Code. The Committee sat 25 days after the receipt of the petition by the general secretariat.

He stressed that the Appeal Committee sat out of time. “I protested to the Committee both in written and Oral Submission that it was sitting contrary to clear guidelines.
