PDP, ACN members decamp to APGA in Anambra

AWKA – NO fewer than 200 members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Idemili South local government area of Anambra State have decamped to the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA.

At a ceremony to mark the event at Alor, the home town of the former governor of the state and senatorial
candidate of ACN for Anambra Central, Dr. Chris Ngige, the decampees said they decided to join APGA because of the leadership qualities of Prof Dora Akunyili, who is the senatorial candidate of APGA for the zone.

Their spokesman and former leader of PDP in Awka Etiti, Mr. Chukwudi Okoye, explained that the people have followed closely the activities of Akunyili, especially when she was the Director General of National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, and Minister of Information and Communications.
