WARRI-MINISTER of the Niger Delta Ministry Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe has been called upon to employ youths of the troubled region in the state offices of the nine Niger Delta States of the Federation to stem the tide of youth restiveness and violence.
A community leader from Ozoro in Isoko north council; area of Deltan State, Cheif Francis Atarie made the call in a brief chat with Journalists in Warri, saying that to make the offices functional throughout the region, their is the urgent need to employ supervisors and other categories of workers to man the offices instead of leaving them fallow.
Chief Atarie who spoke against the background of the recent face -off between operativesof the JTf and some ex-militants in parts of the state said the renewed offensive can be attributed to the delay in the activation of the state offices of the ministry and the alleged failure of the federal government amnesty programme.
