Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, a member of the Standard Bank Group’s continued support of polo is indicative of its commitment to the development of sports in Nigeria.

This support which cuts across various sports and socio-economic segments of the country, is expected to entrench recreational initiatives and foster greater economic development.

This commitment was recently demonstrated by Stanbic IBTC Bank’s sponsorship of the African Patrons Cup 2010 Polo Tournament, which took place at the 5th Chukker Polo and Country Club, Kaduna, from October 27 to 31.

The tournament witnessed participation from several teams: AMG, Linetrale Trafigura, Deebee Farms, Fifth Chukker and M.R.S, all competing for the top prize, with professional players drawn from Nigeria, Argentina and other countries.
