ABUJA — The Federal Government has declared Tuesday and Wednesday 16th and 17th November, 2010 as public holidays to mark year 2010 Id– el – Kabir Muslim festival.
The Minister of Interior, Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho, who made the announcement on behalf of the Federal Government wished all Muslims at home and abroad a joyous, fun-filled celebration as he further enjoined Nigerians to reflect on the lessons of sacrifice which is the central theme of this festival with a view to making our beloved country a better place for us.
He requested Muslims and indeed all Nigerians to use this occasion to pray fervently for progress, peace and security of the nation.
