A member of the House of Representatives, Mr. Ganiyu Oladunjoye Hamzat, has advised the new governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, not to be distracted from the onerous task of developing the state.
Hamzat, an Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, legislator, representing Mushin II Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, told newsmen in Lagos yesterday that the governor needed to move fast to execute developmental projects in the state.
According to him: “This is not the time to allow any distraction. The governor just has to be focused by working on the immediate needs of Ekiti people and put necessary machinery in motion towards taking Ekiti State to the next level.”
The lawmaker enjoined Fayemi to adhere strictly to the six-point agenda under which he campaigned for election in the fountain of knowledge state.
