Toyo, who spoke during an interaction with newsmen, Tuesday in Uyo, noted that only restructuring would address the problems bedeviling the different sections of the country,  especially the oil producing states of the Niger Delta region.

He decried the long years of marginalization of the region in terms of infrastructure development despites its position as the major contributor to the nation’s economy.

Toyo, who is aspiring for the Akwa Ibom South (Eket senatorial district) Senate seat in 2019, expressed his readiness and capability to serve as a strong voice on the issue of restructuring if elected a senator.

“We need persons with proven capacity, experience and exposure to deliver on this important project. This is no time to gamble with destinies  or compensate loyal supporters. It is the time to build the future of nigerians,” he said.

We cannot joke with this opportunity.

“Legislative representation, we know is not for the unpatriotic who will abandon the cause for selfish gains at the point of decision, neither is it for the faint hearted,  the ill equipped adventurers. We must send competent legislators. We are unfortunate victims of mediocre representation and we must be prepared to get out of it.

“I want to go to the Senate to speak restructuring for a better future of this country, this region. At the risk of sounding immodest, my records in public and private services testify to my qualification to represent us at the Senate and get the job done. That is why I have come out to serve; I will get this job done as usual”.
