A’Court dismisses NBC’s bid to overturn judgment restraining it from imposing fines

The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja, yesterday, in a unanimous decision, dismissed an appeal by the National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, seeking to overturn a Federal High Court’s judgment perpetually restraining it from imposing fines on radio and televisions stations and setting aside the fines it levied on 45 broadcast stations on March 1, 2019, for alleged breaches of the Nigeria Broadcasting Code.
