A political analyst, Abdulmalik Suleiman, has said that the success story of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is built on transparency and accountability.

Suleiman, who spoke in Kano on Wednesday while briefing newsmen, described Governor Yusuf as a leader who strongly believes that things should be done orderly in keeping with the trust between him and the people of Kano State.

“Gov. Abba is a leader who strongly believes that things should be orderly in keeping the trust between him and the Kano people. That is why his success is built on transparency and accountability,” he said.

According to him, the governor’s insistence on due process, blocking of leakages and prudent management of public resources has restored public confidence in governance and freed up funds for critical development projects.

“What we are witnessing today in Kano is not by accident. It is the result of deliberate and orderly leadership. Every expenditure is accounted for and every contract follows due process. He believes leadership is a trust and that trust must not be betrayed,” Suleiman stated.

He listed the massive interventions in education, healthcare, infrastructure and the regular payment of pensions and gratuities as evidence of what transparent leadership can achieve.

Suleiman further described Governor Abba as one of the strongest believers in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that the governor will deliver Kano State to the President in 2027 due to his massive goodwill in the state.

“Gov. Abba who is one of the strongest believers in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will deliver Kano State to the President due to the governor’s goodwill in the state. The people trust him because he has kept his promises,” he said.

The analyst stressed that with the solid foundation already laid, the governor’s return for a second term will serve as a bedrock for massive growth and development in Kano State.

“With what he has achieved in less than two years, his return for a second term will serve as a bedrock for massive growth and development in the state. He has built the foundation on trust and accountability; the second term will be for consolidation and greater prosperity for Kano people,” he added.

He urged residents of the state to sustain their support for the administration to continue to succeed.
