Nigeria’s luxury housing market needs quality, transparency — Elycap

A new real estate development company, Elycap Luxury Homes, has commenced operations in Nigeria with a focus on the country’s premium housing market, aiming to combine luxury residential developments with long-term investment opportunities.

The company, co-founded by Azeez Akano and Qudus Adisa, said its business model is designed to address what it describes as a gap between high-end living and profitable real estate investments.

Speaking on the company’s entry into the market, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer, Azeez Akano, said Elycap Luxury Homes was established to offer developments that balance quality living with sustainable financial returns.

“Elycap Luxury Homes was established to bridge the gap between exceptional luxury living and profitable real estate investment. We observed that many developments focused either on aesthetics or returns, but rarely delivered both at a consistently high standard,” Akano said.

According to the company, its projects will prioritise locations with strong growth potential while incorporating contemporary architectural designs, premium finishes and amenities intended to enhance residents’ living experience and improve the long-term value of the properties.

Adisa the co founder said the company would also integrate sustainability features and smart-home technologies into its developments to improve efficiency, security and overall asset performance.

“Our developments are thoughtfully designed to deliver more than luxury; they are built as high-performing real estate assets. We prioritise prime locations with strong appreciation potential and amenities that support both an elevated lifestyle and consistent rental demand,” Adisa said.

The company said its target market includes homeowners, professionals, entrepreneurs, Nigerians in the diaspora and institutional investors seeking premium residential assets with the potential for rental income and capital appreciation.

Elycap’s entry comes as Nigeria’s luxury real estate sector continues to attract investor interest amid rapid urbanisation, population growth and increasing demand from Nigerians living abroad. Industry analysts have identified transparency, quality construction and strategic location as some of the factors driving investment decisions in the segment.

Akano maintained that site selection would remain central to the company’s development strategy.

“Location is the foundation of every successful development. We only invest in locations that can support both exceptional living experiences and sustainable investment performance,” he said.

Looking ahead, the company said it intends to expand into high-growth locations across the country through strategic partnerships while delivering projects that meet international standards.

“Our vision is to become one of Africa’s leading real estate development companies, creating premium communities that preserve wealth, generate sustainable returns, and redefine modern living,” Adisa added.

Founded by Akano and Adisa, Elycap Luxury Homes said it would focus on transparency, quality delivery and long-term value creation as it seeks to establish a presence in Nigeria’s competitive luxury real estate market.
