Ndokwa West: Oyemike collapses APC structure into NDC

In a major political realignment within Ndokwa West Local Government Area of Delta State, former All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly candidate and Founder of the Oyemike Political Network (OPN), Hon. Valentine Oyemike, has formally collapsed his political structure within the APC into the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), setting the stage for what observers describe as a significant political movement in Ndokwa Nation.

The development follows Hon. Oyemike’s recent resignation from the APC, a decision he attributed to prolonged internal crises, recurring leadership disputes, and developments that, in his view, continued to undermine the unity, stability, and collective vision required for meaningful political progress.

Following extensive consultations with political associates, coordinators, stakeholders, and supporters across Ndokwa Nation, members of the Oyemike Political Network convened a strategic meeting at Hon. Oyemike’s country home in Abbi. At the meeting, a unanimous decision was reached to formally dissolve the existing APC political structure under his leadership and integrate it into the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

The decision was reached after weeks of consultations and engagements aimed at identifying a political platform capable of advancing the aspirations of members and supporters while providing a more inclusive environment for participation, growth and development of Ndokwa land and it’s people.

Speaking on the significance of the move, Hon. Oyemike described the transition as more than a mere change of political platform. According to him, it represents a renewed commitment to a movement driven by the aspirations of the people and founded on the principles of fairness, unity, people-oriented leadership, and sustainable development.

The political structure was formally received into the NDC by Pastor Ozobiani Chukwuka Charles and Rev. Dr. John Okafor, who welcomed the delegation on behalf of the party leadership and assured them of cooperation, inclusion, and support.

Although the recent gathering marked the formal integration of the core leadership structure into the NDC, Hon. Oyemike disclosed that preparations are already underway for a larger political gathering that will officially usher thousands of supporters, members, and political associates into the party in the coming weeks.

This development could significantly reshape the political landscape of not only Ndokwa West, but Ndokwa Nation at large, considering the grassroots reach, organizational strength, and support base built by Hon. Oyemike and the Oyemike Political Network over the years.

Reaffirming his unwavering commitment to the welfare and advancement of Ndokwa people, Hon. Oyemike expressed gratitude to supporters for their loyalty, encouragement, and steadfast belief in the shared vision of building a stronger and more prosperous constituency.

He emphasized that the decision was guided by the desire to strengthen political participation, expand opportunities for development, and build a platform capable of delivering lasting benefits to the people of Ndokwa Nation.

With the formal collapse of his APC structure into the NDC now concluded, attention is increasingly turning to the anticipated mass movement of supporters expected to join the party in the coming weeks, a development that many believe could mark the beginning of a new political chapter in Ndokwa Nation.
