New platform to help Nigerian students earn while learning

As rising living costs and limited job opportunities continue to put pressure on Nigerian students, fintech company Moremonee has launched a new digital platform aimed at providing financial relief, skill development, and earning opportunities for students across the country.

The company on Tuesday unveiled the Moremonee Students Community, a dedicated platform designed to support students by combining access to funding, skills training, networking, and income-generating opportunities in one ecosystem.

Speaking about the initiative, Moremonee said the platform represents a shift from its traditional role as a payment solutions provider to a more comprehensive student empowerment hub.

At the heart of the Moremonee Students Community are flexible financial solutions. Students can access tailored loans to cover tuition fees, research projects, and even small business startups, with repayment terms designed to match their earning capacity. The platform also provides access to scholarships and grants for both academically outstanding students and those experiencing financial hardship.

Beyond funding, the platform places strong emphasis on employability. Through its learning hub, members can take free video-based courses in high-demand areas such as technology, finance, entrepreneurship, and personal development.

To help students transition smoothly from campus to the workplace, Moremonee has introduced a priority recruitment policy, giving members of the Students Community first consideration for job openings — both full-time and part-time — within the company and its partner organisations.

The platform also includes a robust mentorship programme that connects students with industry professionals through virtual sessions and campus engagements. Additionally, an entrepreneurship track has been created to support students interested in starting their own ventures.

One of the most attractive features of the platform is its referral reward system. Students can earn ₦500 for every successful referral when someone signs up using their unique code, with no limit on how much they can earn.

A performance-based leaderboard has also been introduced to reward active members. Top-performing students stand a chance to be selected as campus ambassadors and receive additional study support materials.

The onboarding process is simple and user-friendly, allowing students to register within minutes and immediately begin accessing the platform’s benefits.

With this new initiative, Moremonee is positioning itself as a key player at the intersection of fintech, education, and youth empowerment. The company hopes the Students Community will help bridge the funding and skills gaps faced by many Nigerian students while preparing them for successful careers after graduation.
