A support group, Ijesha 4 PBAT Support Group, in collaboration with Cityboy Movement in Badagry, on Tuesday congratulated President Bola Tinubu following his victory at the presidential primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Chairman of the group, Chief Oluwasegun Joseph Omuni, described Tinubu’s emergence as a reflection of the confidence party members have in his competence, intellect, loyalty and administrative capacity.
Omuni, in a statement, said the outcome of the primary election demonstrated the trust reposed in the President’s leadership ability, political experience and national vision by APC members across the country.
According to him, Tinubu’s victory marks another milestone in the ruling party’s resolve to sustain stability, economic growth and national development.
He said: “President Tinubu’s emergence is not only a reflection of the confidence reposed in his competence, intellect, loyalty and administrative depth, but also a clear affirmation of your unwavering commitment to the progressive ideals that have sustained Nigeria’s development trajectory in the last three years.”
The group also commended the leadership of the APC and members of the National Working Committee, NWC, for conducting what it described as a peaceful, credible and transparent primary election.
Omuni noted that the conduct of the exercise reflected the democratic strength and maturity of the ruling party.
He said: “APC has once again demonstrated unity, foresight and collective responsibility in presenting a candidate whose pedigree reflects excellence, competence and the enduring spirit of service.”
The chairman also congratulated Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat on his emergence as the APC governorship candidate, describing him as a committed progressive leader.
“We also extend our warm congratulations to Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat on his emergence as the APC Governorship Candidate.
“Your leadership, dedication and commitment to progressive governance continue to inspire hope and confidence among Nigerians.
“We believe your victory represents a brighter future, greater development and renewed prosperity for our people,” he said.
Omuni further prayed for divine wisdom and strength for both Tinubu and Hamzat as they continue their political journeys.
He disclosed that the movement recently empowered artisans and residents in Badagry as part of efforts to mobilise support for the APC and President Tinubu ahead of the election.
According to him, items distributed included 15 motorcycles, 15 deep freezers, 20 grinding machines, 20 sewing machines, 20 fumigators, 25 drying machines and 500 bags of 5kg rice.
Omuni also commended APC chieftains and political office holders in Badagry for their support and cooperation with the movement.
