Late Mrs. Ruth Efe Emoyan was a hardworking and industrious woman who believed strongly in self-reliance. Long before obtaining her NCE qualification, she had already developed strong entrepreneurial skills. She built a reputation for excellence as a caterer and fashion designer.
Through dedication and creativity, she successfully ran her own business ventures for over thirty years. Her work in catering and fashion not only provided support for her family but also made her well known among friends, clients, and associates who admired her diligence and commitment to quality. In addition to her entrepreneurial pursuits, she had a natural passion for practical skills and creativity. Many people benefited from her experience and mentorship, as she willingly shared her knowledge with those interested in learning tailoring, catering, and other crafts. Her years of hard work eventually culminated in her appointment at Delta State University, Abraka, where she was employed as a Higher Executive Officer in November 2024. This appointment marked an important stage in her professional journey and was proof to her perseverance, commitment, and dedication to personal growth. In the days leading to her passing, Late Mrs. Ruth Efe Emoyan remained hopeful and optimistic about her health.
She had been preparing for her routine medical consultation scheduled for Thursday, April 10, 2025. She looked forward with hope to complete recovery and even anticipated a thanksgiving celebration in June 2025 to express gratitude to God for restored health.
However, in the wisdom of God, she peacefully departed this world on Wednesday, April 9, 2025. Her sudden departure left a deep void in the hearts of her family, friends, church members, and all who knew her. Though her life was cut short, her legacy of love, faith, resilience, kindness, and dedication continues to live on in the lives she touched. Mummy, we will forever miss your light, candour, guidance, humility, hard work, exemplary life, resilience, dedication, trust, and your peaceful and loving heart. Yet we find comfort in the assurance that you slept in the Lord, fully aware that death is inevitable and can come to anyone at any time, even as you courageously fought through life’s challenges. Your memory will remain a blessing to all who knew.
