Senator Ned Nwoko has responded to renewed discussions surrounding the Paris Club refund matter, describing a recent Sahara Reporters publication as inaccurate.

The senator representing Delta North said the claims do not reflect the outcome of earlier reviews by relevant authorities.

In a statement issued by his media team in Abuja, Nwoko said the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had conducted multiple investigations into the consultancy agreement linked to the Paris Club refunds, including a recent review.

According to the statement, the investigations concluded that the consultancy work was carried out and that issues relating to outstanding balances are tied to existing agreements.

The statement added that these positions are supported by records from the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Nigeria, where federal payments are processed and documented.

Nwoko also addressed claims regarding his relationship with the Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi, stating that there is no improper association.

He further noted that concerns have been raised about the accuracy of some public commentary on the matter, including statements attributed to George Uboh and Omoyele Sowore.

The senator disclosed that legal steps have been taken in response to some publications on the issue.

The statement also clarified that there is no new claim regarding the matter and that no payment of $350 million was made to him or his company.

Nwoko urged the public to rely on official records and institutional findings, reiterating his position on transparency and due process.
