Niger Delta ex-agitator, General Endurance Amagbein, has dismissed allegations that he is planning to disrupt pro-President Bola Tinubu campaigns in the region over delays in the decentralisation of pipeline surveillance contracts.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, Amagbein described the report as false, malicious and politically motivated, insisting he remains a loyal supporter of the President and his Renewed Hope Agenda.

Popularly known as “Adaka Boro the Second,” the ex-agitator said he would never be involved in any activity capable of undermining Tinubu’s chances in the 2027 presidential election.

He alleged that the report was orchestrated by opponents to tarnish his image, claiming that the individual named as the source, Chief Nelson Ebi, does not exist and is being used by certain pipeline surveillance contractors to spread falsehoods against him.

Amagbein further claimed that the same group had previously linked him to the Okuama incident in a bid to secure the renewal of surveillance contracts, and had now resorted to fresh allegations after exhausting other tactics.

According to him, the accusations are aimed at turning authorities against him and distracting attention from his advocacy for the decentralisation of pipeline surveillance contracts.

He argued that decentralising the contracts would promote competition, improve transparency, boost oil production and help curb crude oil theft, particularly by insiders within the system.

Amagbein maintained that he would not be intimidated by blackmail, stressing that he would continue to speak on issues affecting the Niger Delta.

He also recalled mobilising support for Tinubu across the region during the 2023 elections, adding that he remains committed to backing the President’s re-election bid in 2027 with the same level of dedication.

He urged the public to disregard the allegations, describing them as fabricated, and called on his supporters to continue supporting the Tinubu administration, which he said has delivered key development projects in the Niger Delta.
