The Africa International Housing Show is set to mark its 20th anniversary with a series of high-level engagements, including the recognition of long-standing partners and the unveiling of major industry initiatives aimed at shaping the future of housing in Africa.

The event, tagged AIHS @20 – Legacy Edition, will hold from July 13 to 18, 2026, at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja, and is expected to attract thousands of stakeholders from across the continent and beyond.

Organisers said the anniversary edition would feature a special Honours and Awards of Appreciation Ceremony to recognise partners, exhibitors, and stakeholders who have contributed to the growth of the platform over the past two decades.

The show is projected to host over 10 housing ministers from across Africa, presidents of real estate developers’ associations, more than 400 exhibitors, and participants exceeding 40,000 within the seven-day period. Exhibitors from at least 25 countries are also expected to participate, further reinforcing the event’s position as a leading housing and construction platform in Africa.

As part of activities lined up for the event, a High-Level Parliamentary and Executive Policy Leaders Dinner will bring together lawmakers, ministers, senior government officials, investors, and industry leaders for a closed-door session focused on housing finance, policy reforms, and legislative frameworks.

In addition, the organisers will launch the AIHS Innovation Hub, designed to support the development and scaling of innovative housing solutions, promote affordable housing technologies, and connect innovators with investors and policymakers.

The event will also feature the AIHS CEO Forum, which will convene chief executives of leading real estate and construction firms, financial institutions, and development partners to discuss market trends, partnerships, and investment opportunities within the sector.

A Countries and States Pavilion is also planned to provide governments at national and sub-national levels with an opportunity to showcase housing projects, present investment-ready programmes, and engage directly with potential investors and partners.

A major highlight of the anniversary celebration will be the gala night, where distinguished stakeholders will receive legacy awards. The event will also feature a raffle draw, with a participant expected to win a two-bedroom house.

Speaking ahead of the event, the Convener of AIHS and Executive Director of the Housing Development Advocacy Network, Festus Adebayo, said the platform had played a significant role in shaping housing discourse and investment across Africa over the past 20 years.

He noted that the 2026 edition would go beyond celebration, serving as a strategic convergence point for stakeholders to address housing challenges and explore opportunities for large-scale delivery across the continent.

Over the years, the Africa International Housing Show has become a key platform for influencing housing policies, fostering public-private partnerships, and driving investment into the sector, while also creating opportunities for local and international businesses.
